Work Space Redux

Moving into a house is expensive. We're still renting, but we had to buy a bunch of other things to keep a whole house running. That being said, the benefit is this dank basement. It ain't pretty, but I can be as messy as I want without disturbing a soul. Two whole table surfaces are often covered in piles of action figure parts, chopped up styrene, paint, model kit bits, and other bric-a-brac. I decided to take a few minutes today and tidy the place up. This, believe it or not, is what it looks like when I spruce up the joint. I'm gonna miss this basement when we move again.

Imperial Speeder

This little machine has been in the works for a couple of months. Twenty minutes here and there, and then a good solid chunk of time this past Sunday meant I managed to get it all together and painted. Think of it as the compact car of Imperial military armament. Styrene sheet is the medium, with some plumbers pipe fittings used for the engines. The blaster cannon swivels 360 degrees, and has a joint that allows it to move up and down. It sort of reminds me of a vintage Kenner toy...not as detailed as some of my past models, but I kind of like the design.
